The brewery was squeezed away in the back with some other businesses (as that's usually the case). I thought it was pretty neat.Īs I was very slowly getting closer to my the Microtel I was going to be staying at in Kannapolis (must have hit rush hour traffic) I decided to make a little detour to Ass Clown Brewing in Cornelius to pick up some four packs of their craft beer. Some hills near a Walmart I stopped at in West Virginia.Outside the welcome center in West Virginia78.When I got close to the North Carolina border I was in awe with the scenic view of the mountains (really wished I could have got a picture). I even drove through some tunnels (sadly no shots). Somewhere along the way I got back on the interstate and drove further down south, crossing into Virginia still very scenic. Just like Pennsylvania the GPS seemed to take me through some odd places including driving by a school and a business district. When I stopped at a Walmart somewhere along the way to use the bathroom I saw the hills that surrounded it. Eventually I crossed into West Virginia which I've got to say looked quite scenic. I even came by an exit for Mount Morris, Pennsylvania. Then I continued driving down the interstate until the GPS sent me down towards Pittsburgh, then followed by Washington, PA. I had some scrambled eggs, sausage patties, hash browns and toast along with some orange juice and coffee. It felt good to get out of the car and stretch. Somewhere along that journey it started to get light out and at around 6:30 I pulled into an Eat 'n' Park in some town called DuBois that I never heard of. Once I made that detour it was driving through all these roads and ending up driving the length of the Keystone State. See I had the GPS on when I first left but it would be (what I figured later) taking me to I-90. When I got to Williamsport the GPS took me a different way.

I must have crossed into Pennsylvania at around 3:30. So what would be the long drive down south began with myself being the only car on the road other than the occasional semi. I ended up just packing up everything and taking off by 2:30 as it felt weird just waiting around a couple hours. This would be my first time going into North Carolina in about thirteen years as the last time was on the way through when my parents and I went to Myrtle Beach last. After I got home from work Thursday morning I parked my car outside on the driveway, not bothering to put it back in the garage as I had planned to take off a few hours later for North Carolina to attend Carolina Rebellion a three-day music festival consisting of primarily hard rock and heavy metal bands at the campgrounds across from the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord.
